ANCHORAGE, AK – September 20, 2011. The Department of Revenue has released the list of Alaska organizations that will participate in the 2012 Pick. Click. Give. charitable contributions program. Beginning today, donors can plan for the organizations or causes they want to support during next year’s permanent fund dividend cycle by clicking here.

Over 400 nonprofit organizations, community foundations, and campuses of the University of Alaska were approved for the 2012 program. The nonprofits are dedicated to a wide variety of causes. People can search for organizations they want to support by name, location, or type of program.

Every Alaskan who files online for the Permanent Fund Dividend has the option to share part or all of their dividend with causes they care about. 2012 marks the fourth year of the program.

Governor Sean Parnell announced today that Alaska residents who are eligible for the 2011 PFD will receive $1,174. Pledge data at the close of the filing period on March 31, 2011 showed that 18,726 Alaskans made 27,829 charitable gifts to Alaska nonprofits during the 90-day campaign. The total pledged amount on that date was $1,570,900.
