Anchorage, January 23, 2014 – There’s good news for Alaskans who already filed for their Permanent Fund Dividends (PFD) but were unable to donate to their favorite causes due to website glitches: Most of the issues are fixed and you can go back into your application and add or change your donations.

“We’ve heard from many Alaskans who couldn’t Pick.Click.Give. because of issues with the PFD website,” said Pick.Click.Give. Program Manager Heather Beaty. “We want to make sure that people who want to express their love for Alaska through their giving know that the system has been improved. It’s easy to go back to the PFD website and click on the green ‘Add or Change Your Pick.Click.Give. Donation’ button, and support organizations that help make Alaska a better place to live.”

While most of the glitches have been worked out, Beaty recommends filing and making a donation from a computer, not a mobile device or iPad as those devices are still having some compatibility issues.

Alaskans have until March 31 to file for their PFDs. Last year, more than 26,000 Alaskans donated a record $2.4 million from their PFDs. More than $7 million has been raised through the program since it began six years ago. This year, when dividends are expected to be larger than in the past few years, there are 512 Pick.Click.Give. nonprofit organizations to which Alaskans can donate.
