This year I gave to Polar Pug Rescue and Friends in support of all that they do for the rescue dog community. Not only do they rescue Pugs they also step in and assist Animal Control with the non-Pug small dogs in need of medical treatment, temporary fostering, behavioral adjustments, etc. They are an awesome Rescue group full of loving and knowledgable volunteers. Each year my husband, daughter, and I give $150 of our PFD to the Fairbanks Community Food Bank. We believe in giving back to our community and being able to teach our 4 year old daughter about sharing and saving, which are the two things she does with her PFD, are invaluable lessons that work best when taught together.
