Two weeks ago, we announced the first winner of the Pick. Click. Give. Confessional, Erin Harrington of Kodiak, who chose to give her prize - a $500 donation in her name - to the Kodiak Public Library Association.
At the end of last week, we picked another winner. We'll be picking one more winner on Tuesday, January 17.
The contest encourages people to "Confess" to giving through Pick. Click. Give., and to encourage their friends and family to give. Winners are chosen randomly choose from the confessions in the contest application.
And our second winner is... Ann Myren of Haines!
Her confession: "I'm sharing my PFD with Chilkat Valley Community Foundation. Pick.Click.Give is an easy way to give to the community that gives so much to me."
Ann is also the Chair of the Advisory Board for the Chilkat Valley Community Foundation (CVCF), an affiliate of The Alaska Community Foundation. The CVCF serves the communities of Klukwan and Haines.
Ann told us, "For my husband and me, supporting the Chilkat Valley Community Foundation is a great way to contribute to our community. By building a “permanent fund” for the Chilkat Valley, CVCF will be able to keep on supporting local nonprofits with grants and educational opportunities, bringing people together to improve community life for years to come. It feels good to know that our gift today will continue to make a difference in the future."
Ann went on to add that her husband also gives through Pick. Click. Give.
