Alaska Geographic

About Us

Alaska accounts for two-thirds of the United States’ national parklands, about 80 percent of wildlife refuges, 70 million BLM conservation lands; and is home to the two largest national forests. And Alaska Geographic is the official education and fundraising partner of these public lands.

Over six decades, we’ve helped millions of visitors better understand and explore Alaska’s iconic places; alongside raising tens of millions of dollars to fund education, arts, and stewardship projects. Together, we deliver programs for youth and adults, build community collaboration, create exceptional films and publications, and fund critical projects that serve both people and these places. By supporting our work, you also inspire a whole new generation of explorers in your favorite places.

How Pick.Click.Give. makes a difference

Donations to Alaska Geographic help improve access to public lands and life-changing experiences through educational programs for adults and students, leadership programs for local youth, volunteer stewardship projects, and educational materials for visitors to learn more deeply.

To us, a $25 donation means that we can provide gas to transport dozens of students to and from (what could be) their first hike. A $100 donation means that we can provide a scholarship for a classroom teacher to participate in a field course training.

Know that your donation makes a difference!
