How Pick.Click.Give. makes a difference
The Pick.Click.Give. funds are directed to our operating expenses that support our cultural and educational programs offered at the Center. These funds allow the Center to continue providing quality programs to Alaska Native families and youth within our community and to our visitors from around the world. The primary focus of the programs is to develop Alaska Native youth into future leaders in our community.
The Center's programs are developed and delivered under the direction of the Cultural and Educational Services Department, with the intent to promote knowledge of Alaska’s diverse cultures. Programs include Middle and High School Programs, Internships, Cultural Awareness Training, Native Art Classes, School Visits, Outreach within the schools, Alaska Studies, Multicultural Drumming, Dance and Music Festivals, and the International Indigenous Film Festival.
These educational products serve to deliver knowledge and increase awareness of the unique traditional wisdom and teachings of each culture, and to directly promote pride, appreciation and self-esteem among Alaska’s indigenous people.
