The mission of the Delta Library Association is to support the Delta Community Library and the patrons it serves. The Association raises money to help fund library events, with special emphasis on children's reading programs. Early literacy programs for babies, summer reading clubs for elementary and High school students, Battle of The Books sets and other educational materials are provided by the Association help make these programs a success.
The Association also sponsors cultural, musical and literary events for the greater Delta Junction - Fort Greely community which brings music, performance and art to the community that would not otherwise be available.
And most importantly, the Delta Library Association buys books every year for the library, including best sellers, children's classics, reference materials and more.
How Pick.Click.Give. makes a difference
Pick. Click. Give. will help raise awareness of the activities and purchases sponsored by the Delta Library Association and hopefully increase membership and participation in local events. Since there is no local tax base, pick, click, give provides a new and easy way for residents to support their local library and see and enjoy the results of their generosity through a variety of activities at the Delta Community Library.
