Fairbanks Library Foundation

About Us

The mission of the Fairbanks Library Foundation is to support all Fairbanks North Star Borough public libraries, to enhance their operations, to encourage and support expansion of library buildings, facilities and equipment, and to create, manage, and build an investment fund to assist in these endeavors. We support the Noel Wien Library, North Pole Branch Library, and Bookmobile.

How Pick.Click.Give. makes a difference

While tax dollars allow the FNSB Libraries to buy materials and keep the buildings open, it is often only through private donations that programs and services can be offered to meet the changing needs of our community. The Fairbanks Library Foundation is in the process of raising 2.3 million to help with renovations for the 40-year-old Noel Wien Library. The existing layout of our library no longer allows for the efficient delivery of services necessary for a modern library and we want to help remedy that. Our new floor plan blueprint can be seen on the webpage. There will be a Young Adult area, more technology and business stations, an updated Children's area and more. On a yearly basis, FLF also funds the annual reading programs for children and adults, covers expenses for maintaining the museum-quality art collections at Noel Wien and North Pole Branch Libraries and will continue to coordinate fund-raising activities for our libraries. Your donations through Pick. Click. Give. will help meet these continuing needs and similar new ones. We thank you for your support!
