About Us
You can view our full mission statement at www.fairbanksyouthadvocates.org

Fairbanks Youth Advocates believes that all youth deserve a safe, warm place to be. The Door, a shelter for kids ages 12-18, is accessible 24-7, everyday of the year. The Door not only meets the basic visible needs of kids through housing, food and clothing, but also the invisible emotional needs through a calm peaceful environment, counseling and caring supportive staff.

Fairbanks Youth Advocates provides our services to ALL youth regardless of race, color, creed, national origin, gender, disability, religion, or sexual orientation. We respect and honor the human dignity of all and under no circumstances do we require or expect that an individual believe a certain way to access or receive services. We accept all as they are, however they are.

How Pick.Click.Give. makes a difference
A donation through Pick.Click.Give helps us to keep our doors open. The Door, a small but critical shelter with a capacity for 12 kids, sheltered 100 youth this past year and provided drop in services to 200. We are accessible to kids ages 12-18 every hour of the day, every day of the year.

The needs of our shelter vary from staffing to providing healthy meals, to paying the fuel bill. We are a small nonprofit with a skilled staff of both employees and volunteers; we stretch every Pick.Click.Give. donation to go as far as possible. Thank you for giving.
