The Friends support the Andrew P. Kashevaroff State Library, Archives and Museum in promoting, preserving and disseminating knowledge of Alaska, its people, cultural and natural history, and resources. To accomplish our goals, we sponsor educational programs and events, recruit and manage volunteers, produce publications, and accept donations and endowments. We also encourage your participation.
How Pick.Click.Give. makes a difference
Your gift will help us help the Andrew P. Kashevaroff State Library, Archives, and Museum educate Alaskans and visitors—youth and adult--about Alaska history and culture through activities and educational programs. You will help expand digital access to resource materials, expand the collections, provide docent training, and add to the Historical Library’s fund to acquire old photos and documents. Your gift will assist in the development of museums and libraries across the state, provide scholarships for Alaska Natives interested in museum studies, promote exhibits, sponsor artist demonstrations, and host receptions for special events. Your gift will help preserve and promote Alaska.
The new building opened in spring 2016 and will provide double the exhibition and historical space, triple the storage space, and expanded digital access as well as a classroom and public gathering space at reduced operating costs due to consolidation of facilities. Help us make the most of your amazing new Andrew P. Kashevaroff State Library, Archives, and Museum facility. It belongs to you. Invest in it and become one of our friends.
