About Us
The Friends of the Kenai Community Library exists to conduct activities that promote literacy and reading by creating an awareness of services provided by the Kenai Community Library. Those activities to support superior library service in the community include advocacy of public and private support of library growth and improvement, encouragement of volunteer involvement in library programs, and acquisition of funds to supplement the library’s core annual budget.
How Pick.Click.Give. makes a difference
Pick.Click.Give will provide the Friends of the Kenai Community Library with broader reach. With approximately 7,000 residents of Kenai, the Kenai Community has approximately 13,000 cardholders. The majority of the library users are from the surrounding communities some of which do not have libraries. Any funds generated through Pick. Click. Give will allow the Friends of the Library to continue supporting and sponsoring programs for users of all ages and to continue augmenting the city budget for the library to allow purchase of additional books and equipment. A presence in this program highlights what the Friends do for the library and may inspire additional support.
