About Us
Central Peninsula Habitat for Humanity is an Affilitate of the International, non-profit, all race, all religion organization that partners with families in need to build safe affordable homes. Central Peninsula's mission is to give a hand up; not a hand-out. Families must show a need for safe housing; must be able to repay the loan (purchase the house with a 20-year interest free mortgage) and must contribute a minimum of 500 sweat equity hours during the building of the home.

How Pick.Click.Give. makes a difference
Central Peninsula Habitat for Humanity's charter was officially approved in 1992 when a group of concerned citizens came together to form a local Affiliate. During the last 22 years the local group has built 20 homes. The local Affiliate is especially proud of the fact that we are a non-profit with 100% of donations going to the building of homes. The very small amount of money needed to keep us up and running is deducted from the monthly house payments. All Board members and construction crews are volunteers so the overhead costs are minimal. One home at a time, Habitat is helping to build healthy families able to contribute to their local communities.
