About Us
KNOM Radio strives to entertain, to engage, to inspire, and to inform the listeners of Western Alaska: from the Yukon Delta to the Bering Strait and throughout the villages and rural stretches of the Alaskan Bush. Through our programming, we endeavor to provide companionship, entertainment, inspiration, and – most crucially – information.

How Pick.Click.Give. makes a difference
KNOM relies on individual donations throughout the year to stay on the air and broadcast each and every hour. (KNOM receives no Federal, State or Church subsidies.) Every dollar helps. Donations through Pick.Click.Give - big or small - make a positive difference.

It is an honor to serve as a vital communications link for an isolated and rural area. KNOM does all we can to keep listeners informed and knowledgeable about what’s happening in their home village, their state, their country, and their world. In this vein, we work hard to keep our news reporting objective, our weather forecasts accurate, and our community announcements comprehensive. Covering everything from the Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race to the latest whale harvest, the Alaska State Legislature to the development of regional resources, KNOM seeks to provide information to and to provide a voice for the region of Western Alaska.

KNOM seeks to be a place where conversations can begin, where communities can be strengthened, and where the human spirit can be celebrated. Each donation through Pick.Click.Give. contributes to maintaining KNOM as an invaluable community service.
