About Us
The vision of the Kenai Peninsula Foundation (KPF) is to "create a stronger central Kenai Peninsula today and forever." An Affiliate of The Alaska Community Foundation, KPF is building a permanently endowed fund to leave a legacy for future generations. Locally advised, KPF supports opportunities to improve the quality of life for all residents within the central Kenai Peninsula. Grants from KPF benefit young people, recreation, safety, vulnerable populations and the elderly of our community.
How Pick.Click.Give. makes a difference
The Kenai Peninsula Foundation (KPF) is honored to participate in the Pick.Click.Give. program. The contributions received through Pick.Click.Give. provide KPF with flexible funding that supports opportunities to meet current needs while maintaining a long-term vision for a stronger community in the central Kenai Peninsula.
Maintaining a broad community focus allows KPF to remain flexible in meeting the evolving needs of our local organizations. Our current grantmaking supports organizations and programs throughout communities of the central Kenai Peninsula that serve youth, recreation, safety, vulnerable populations and the elderly. By raising funds for a permanent endowment and targeting our grantmaking to help with community needs, KPF will support the residents of the central Kenai Peninsula for generations to come.
Recent grants have supported: Hope Community Resources to teach social and life skills through puppetry to individuals that experience disabilities; Kenai Peninsula Soil & Water Conservation District to raise local foods awareness among area consumers; and the Central Peninsula Birth Network to purchase tents and equipment to provide a calm, restful place for families with young children attending outdoor festivals and other community events.
By pooling community contributions to grow a permanent endowment, the Kenai Peninsula Foundation is providing a strong basis for locally advised philanthropy. The KPF Advisory Board is committed to listening and learning from the community to ensure that KPF grants have strong local impact.
As an Affiliate of The Alaska Community Foundation (ACF), we benefit from the shared services and infrastructure provided through ACF. This partnership allows for greater efficiency in operations and a higher portion of contributions to be directed back into our local community through the KPF grantmaking programs.
