How Pick.Click.Give. makes a difference
The Sterling Community Center offers many educational and recreational programs to youth and adults in the area. The Center's Core Value statement is: "Connecting Community" with a purpose to "Foster, Nurture and Connect Family and Community."
Pick.Click.Give. donations will help the Sterling Community Center continue to grow and update its buildings and facilities. One of those goals is to turn Sterling's first one-room school house into a teen/rec center that could also serve as an emergency command center if needed. The Center would also like to turn the log cabin that for many years served as Sterling post office into a local museum with local historical displays.
The Sterling Community Center continues to work on our soccer/baseball fields so that these areas can be utilized to their full potential by the community and those vacationing in Sterling during the summer months. Other projects we are working on include re-setting our playground equipment to its new location and moving the pavilion and storage unit. So many plans require many hands, volunteers and resources. The Sterling Community Center continues to see increased usage each year being used more, we grow more and our needs grow.
