About Us
Fairbanks Youth Advocates operates The Door, a 24/7 emergency shelter for youth; and Keystone Counseling, an individual and family counseling and training center.
The Door is a shelter geared toward homeless and at-risk youth ages 12-18. Our goal is to provide stabilization and safety to youth during critical transition times in their lives. At the Door, we provide help to teens through a safe place to sleep, 3 meals a day, showers, clothing, school supplies, and much more. The Door also offers, counseling and education services and mediation for families.
Fairbanks Youth Advocates provides our services to ALL youth regardless of race, color, creed, national origin, gender, disability, religion, or sexual orientation. We respect and honor the human dignity of everyone and under no circumstances do we require or expect that an individual believe a certain way to access services.
How Pick.Click.Give. makes a difference
A donation through Pick.Click.Give helps The Door to serve more youth in our community. In 2021, the Door sheltered over 120 different youth and provided drop in services to nearly 200. We are accessible to youth 24/7, 365 days a year.
We are a small nonprofit with a big impact. We stretch every Pick.Click.Give. donation to go as far as possible. We couldn't do it without you. Thank you for giving!
