About Us
The University of Alaska is a land-, sea- and space-grant system of higher education established in 1917 that inspires learning, and advances and disseminates knowledge through teaching, research, and public service, emphasizing the North and its diverse peoples.
The UA system's three universities (UAA, UAF and UAS) are separately accredited institutions with 13 affiliated community campuses and extended learning centers across the state of Alaska. All three universities deliver extensive e-Learning instruction anywhere students are located.
System-wide, more than 26,600 full- and part-time students are enrolled, studying among 500 unique degree, certificate or endorsement programs. Study areas include short-course workforce training, associate degrees, bachelor's and master's degrees, as well as doctorates.

When you Pick.Click.Give. to the University of Alaska, your donation will be directed to scholarships to help make educational dreams come true for Alaskans. Through our partnership with the University of Alaska Foundation, we offer more than $3 million in scholarship awards annually. Scholarships are available to students attending any campus of the University of Alaska (Anchorage, Fairbanks, Southeast and all community campuses).
In FY18, 1,385 students benefited from privately funded scholarships. You are making a difference in the lives of each of these students!
When you choose to donate $500 or more of your PFD to the University of Alaska, you will have the opportunity to designate your gift to the campus, college or program of your choice.
