Valley Charities

About Us

Valley Charites(VCI) organization directly serves Mat-Su Valley residents in many ways:

• turn-A-leaf Thrift Stores
• Valley Charities, Inc.
• Medical Equipment Lending Program
• Homeless Prevention Partnerships
• Mat-Su Re-entry Program services

Financial and social hardships are common with or without the pandemic barriers. The Valley Charities Board and staff welcome your support in our commitment to connecting those who need help with the help they need. Funds received purchase medical equipment used on our Medical Equipment Lending Program. The user is never charged for the equipment loaned for their recovery. Our agency also helps residents with financial hardships with housing, utility bills and simple needs through our turn-A-leaf Thrift Store with clothing vouchers and kitchen needs. Our primary area of support is the MatSu Valley where we have cared for community members since the 1950's.

Together we have a bigger impact helping individuals and families make ends meet with your Pick.Click.Give donation.”

"Connecting those who need help with the help they need"

Core Values

Our rich philanthropic history started in the 1950’s. That passion continues to drive our active community partnerships that provide support for more Valley residents trying to make ends meet.

As Valley residents, we are known for pioneer spirit and passion to serve our community. We will continuously work to help bridge social and financial gaps by facilitating relationships, that assist serving more residents, and connect their needs with resources.

We have expanded our positive social footprint in the Mat-Su Borough by helping low-come and homeless individuals and families improve their housing situations. Unfortunately, the Mat-Su Valley has several thousand families that are at risk of being homeless at any moment. Valley Charities, Inc. and our agency partners help prevent those situations from occurring through HUD and State Grant awards.

Your contributions support our community in the following ways.

Housing Assistance Program’s Mission
We work alongside Mat-Su organizations bridging a temporary financial gap that will enhance a Valley residents long term housing sustainability.

Mat-Su Re-Entry Program’s Mission
We work alongside Mat-Su organizations whose members passionately support increasing public safety through enhancing the well-being of former prisoners by assisting them to become successful citizens in our community.

Valley Charities Endowment

Or, maybe it would involve helping with an insurance premium or any other health or wellness situation.
