About Us
As Alaska’s statewide Child Care Resource & Referral Network, thread's mission is to advance the quality of early education and child development by empowering parents, educating child care providers, and collaborating with our communities.

How Pick.Click.Give. makes a difference
Learning begins at birth and those who play a major role in a child’s life during the earliest years—from birth to three years old—have a profound impact. This includes their parents, family members, child care providers, and teachers. By investing in children early on, we help to ensure they are more prepared for school, healthier, and more successful in life.

That is why thread supports thousands of Alaska’s families and early childhood teachers by providing resources like teaching materials and books, family friendly events, and high quality training for early educators. Pick.Click.Give. donations from individuals like you help pay for resources and support for parents, the distribution of training materials to early educators, as well as, mini-grants to child care programs in rural communities throughout the state.

When you invest in Alaska's young children, you help pave the way for our next generation of leaders. Plus, your donations stay right here in Alaska. Thank you for joining thread in pursuing our mission!
