About Us
Island Trails Network is a small non-profit that fulfills its mission with just a few part time employees, hundreds of members, and thousands of volunteer hours. We are able to keep local trails brushed, create and build upon our established trail network, clean beaches and shorelines from the never ending plastic that wash ashore, and advocate and secure lasting access across numerous land management agencies. We have consistently been able to hire and run youth summer crews, which for many is their first job and one that has inspired them to towards a career in the conservation field. Through our marine debris programs, we have been able to raise local, state, and national awareness of the oceans plastic crisis.
