Juneau Dance Theatre Inc

The mission of Juneau Dance Theatre is to nurture self-discipline, confidence, mental and physical fitness, and creativity through professional dance instruction and performance opportunities; to foster an appreciation of the art of dance in the Juneau community; and to develop skills in both visual and performing arts through its annual Fine Arts Camp.

Donations made through Pick.Click.Give. help make it possible for Juneau Dance Theatre (JDT) to educate, engage, and inspire its dancers and people in the community so that dance is not looked at as an elite art form, but one that is accessible, enjoyable, and beneficial for all.

JDT is a professional and positive environment in which dancers of all ages and levels can explore different styles of movement and self expression. Diverse class offerings and experienced faculty help students develop a solid technical foundation and an individual sense of artistry.

In addition to its year-round programs, outreach efforts, and collaborations within the community, JDT offers an annual Fine Arts Camp for children in grades K-6 during the month of June. This camp is as a way for Juneau youth to explore artistic disciplines in an educational yet social setting. From printmaking to theater, from cooking to dance, children can explore, learn, and create under the guidance of professional artist teachers.
