Bright Ideas for Organizations

We all have successful ideas for connecting with our donors, motivating them, and especially for thanking them.  Let's share those great strategies.  Below are a few "Bright Ideas" for talking about giving and encouraging our donors to participate in Pick.Click.Give.

"Bright Ideas" for Organizations
Make a plan to communicate with your existing donors and stakeholders about your listing on the 2010 PFD on-line application.
Highlight the opportunity for your donors to give on-line if you have never had that option before now.
Highlight the opportunity for your donors to extend their donations and give "a little extra."
Encourage your donors to let you know they have picked you for their gift so you can thank them.
Commit your organization to recognition and stewardship of all your donors.
Create meaningful opportunities for transparency and communication with your donors.
Download the ad template and use it in your newsletter, website and postcards to reach out to your stakeholders.
Help create a positive buzz about the statewide media campaign "Pick.Click.Give" which you will see and hear on statewide TV and radio.
Celebrate the possibility that all Alaskans who file on-line can become donors to the organizations they choose.
If you were unable to prepare an application for the 2010 program, or you do not qualify under the provisions of the law, the Pick. Click. Give. campaign still gives you the opportunity to promote individual giving for your organization. With the campaign shining a new light on the value of giving, you can reach out to your donors - thank them, ask for additional support and ask them to refer you to others who may share their passion for your mission.
Mention Pick.Click.Give in your donor holiday greetings.
