AKPIRG

Alaska Public Interest Research Group is a non-partisan, non-profit, citizen-oriented statewide organization. We are researching, educating, and advocating on behalf of the public interest. AKPIRG exists to promote the public and consumer interests, especially when inconsistent with moneyed, powerful or other special interests.

AKPIRG exists independently from national PIRGs, because Alaska is independent by location, our people, our legislature, and our lifestyles. Our purpose is to watch-out for Alaskans' best interest in matters of comsumer awareness and protection, legislation, and corporate interests. As we fight against corporations so often, we don't take money from them. This is why Pick.Click.Give can make a difference in our ability to do our work, watching out for you.
