Founded in 2000, Calypso Farm and Ecology Center’s is dedicated to promoting environmental awareness and local food production through hands-on education programs for all ages on the farm and in school gardens. We also work to increase the availability of fresh, local food through CSA, markets and food benefit incentives.
How Pick.Click.Give. makes a difference
As a small non-profit, every contribution from Pick.Click.Give makes an impact! Last year, our state-wide community donated $2,150 through Pick.Click.Give., supporting our School Garden Initiative, on-farm educational programming and food justice initiatives in Fairbanks! Supporting our general operating funds fuels our ability to run and improve our education programs, such as the school garden EATinG (Engaging Alaskan Teens in Gardening) Program, summer camps and Farmer Training Program, and ensure that they are accessible for all community members. Additionally, Pick.Click.Give. gifts make more fresh food available in Fairbanks by helping us offer a discount for Food Stamp users at the Southside Community Farmer's Market.
We truly appreciate how this program connects people with the causes they care about, promoting generosity and gratitude in the community. Please consider donating a portion of your 2019 PFD, and help us grow and sustain our education and agriculture programs. Thank You!
