How Pick.Click.Give. makes a difference
The Cold Climate Housing Research Center is an industry-based private nonprofit in Fairbanks, Alaska, committed to developing and advancing energy efficient, healthy, durable housing for Alaska and the Circumpolar North. CCHRC works to develop energy efficient building and home technology adapted for cold arctic conditions.
The research center was created in 1999 by members of the Alaska State Home Builders Association. CCHRC's activities include testing of various building materials and techniques, policy research to promote energy efficiency, development of innovative building and heating technologies and the design of sustainable prototype homes in communities throughout Alaska. CCHRC educates home owners and builders to new techniques developed for affordability and to be energy efficient.
Your funds through Pick.Click.Give make a difference. As a nonprofit, because the funding from the State of Alaska has been decreasing annually, new source of funding must be found so that we can continue to make a difference in Alaska.
