About Us
The Jewish Congregation of Fairbanks is committed to being open to and respecting the diverse needs of Jews from all backgrounds. We support the Jewish community with our education and religious programs, and by supporting The Farthest North Jewish Film Festival. The Film Festival promotes Jewish culture through movies as a means of bringing the larger Fairbanks community together, celebrating Judaism and honoring diversity.
How Pick.Click.Give. makes a difference
Donations from Pick.Click.Give will assist the Jewish Congregation of Fairbanks (Congregation OrHaTzafon) in supporting not only members of our Jewish community, but also residents of the local Fairbanks North Star Borough. Pick.Click. Give contributions to the Congregation will directly support the Jewish Film Festival. Over the years the Festival has steadily brought quality screenings of top Jewish films from around the world to a variety of venues in Fairbanks. Our educational programs for children (Hebrew school and Camp Kitov), and adults support Jewish learning, sustain Jewish culture, and provide a place for social outgrowth. Our participation in the URJ PJ Library program is an additional resource for Jewish education and development as part of our outreach program for youth of Interior Alaska. Pick.Click.Give donations will allow us to expand the scope of our educational programs. The Or HaTzafon Good Works committee provides assistance for the sick and elderly of our community in addition to providing financial support for members in times of need.
