How Pick.Click.Give. makes a difference
NAMI Juneau ensures that those dealing with the challenges of mental health conditions in our community do not walk alone in their struggle. We provide a safe place and shared experience to improve the lives of others through our peer-driven programs. Our education classes and support groups provide current information, understanding, and critical coping skills so families can make informed decisions that work for them. Perhaps most importantly, participants find a community of people who understand what they are going through. NAMI programs are taught by individuals with lived experience who are trained to facilitate and provide meaningful peer support.
All NAMI programs are free to attend, allowing anyone in need to find help, hope and support. We need your help to keep them that way. Your Pick.Click.Give contribution will directly support programs such as these:
Family-to-Family: Twelve-session education course for families & caregivers of individuals living with mental illness to gain information, resources & understanding.
NAMI Basics: Six-session education course for parents, guardians or other family caregivers of children or adolescents experiencing behavioral and emotional difficulties.
NAMI Peer-to-Peer: Ten-session education course for adults living with mental health conditions who are looking for strategies, support, and information to achieve and maintain wellness.

"When I started this [NAMI Basics] class my daughter had been recently diagnosed with anxiety disorder. During the presentation period, we experienced a suicide attempt, hospitalization, crisis stabilization and are preparing for residential treatment as the class ends. Having this great team of presenters and their personal experience as guides has made the journey bearable and contributed to our success in getting her what she needs." –Participant of NAMI Basics in Juneau Alaska
