About Us
At Ninilchik Community Library our goal is to provide our community with current titles as well as favorite classics in our collections (Books, Audiobooks, CD, and DVD), to offer a connection to the world via broadband internet and videoconferencing through the OWL program, to provide a Summer Reading program for our young readers in the community and to create a love for books in the hearts of our youngest preschoolers with Story Hour.
How Pick.Click.Give. makes a difference
The Ninilchik Community Library is located in the unincorporated village of Ninilchik. Since we have no government entities to help fund our Library, community support is essential to our day to day operations. With your help we can maintain up to date titles in our collections and offer the community resources to stay current in this technological world. Our computer center allows our patrons to access their email accounts, update resume information or socialize via the web. Our children's weekly Story Hour provides preschoolers early literacy exposure as well as opportunities to enjoy social activities essential to their development in preparation for the school environment. We cultivate a cozy welcoming atmosphere to provide everyone in our community a place to meet their needs, large print books for the visually impaired, audio books, graphic novels and modern fantasy series for young adult readers. Pick, Click, Give donations provide funds to make sure this warm inviting oasis has the doors open and the lights on to welcome all the members of our Alaskan community to share the services we can possibly provide.
