About Us
Pier One Theatre has been creating dynamic community theatre on the Kenai Peninsula since 1973. Programs include a full "mainstage" summer season in an old warehouse on the Homer Spit, outdoor theatre, large scale community musicals, radio theatre, community choir, youth theatre programming, and more. Our philosophies of mentorship and exploration allow volunteers to test and expand their artistic expression in a supportive environment. We thrive on community engagement on stage and off.
How Pick.Click.Give. makes a difference
Pick.Click.Give. makes a difference by allowing Pier One Theatre supporters from all parts of Alaska an easy method of making a financial contribution. Community contributions make up a large portion of our annual budget, supporting our administrative staff, general operating expenses, youth theatre scholarships, and other essential programs. During the last few years, community contributions have been even more essential as we have adapted to a new COVID world. They kept us afloat when audiences could not gather together, and continue to buoy us up as we slowly return to "normal" and our audiences venture indoors once again. Theatrical arts are a source of joy in a world filled with uncertainty, and your contributions make it possible for us to continue, create, and bring the community together.
