How Pick.Click.Give. makes a difference
USAFV will use any funds raised through the Pick.Click.Give. program to pay for food for our shelter food pantry, for fresh food and produce when clients are in residence, and for emergency program participant travel for people who have been impacted by domestic or sexual violence who need to relocate in order to access safe long-term housing. Because of rising fuel, utilities, and food costs, the numbers of people seeking general temporary food assistance from USAFV increases every year, with the holidays being an especially busy time. We also provide healthy food for survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking, and other crimes when they and their children are staying at the shelter. In the last complete fiscal year, USAFV provided food assistance more than 300 times.
