About Us
For over 30 years, United Way of Mat-Su has risen to meet the Valley's biggest challenges, mobilizing all community members and leveraging resources to improve the lives of all Mat-Su residents.
How Pick.Click.Give. makes a difference
For over 30 years United Way of Mat-Su has been serving the Valley by addressing the areas of education, health and financial stability - all of which are important in fostering a strong and healthy community for all.
United Way of Mat-Su feels strongly that the quality of one’s education greatly impacts their success in life. From the Early Childhood Partnership to our Day of Action: Stuff the Bus, we are passionate about supporting initiatives, programs and events that benefit students and educators alike.
Our organization also sits at the table in addressing the underlying issues surrounding income instability and homelessness in our community. United Way of Mat-Su co-chairs Mat-Su Project Homeless Connect, a one-day event held at the Menard Center that offers a multitude of services to those in need.
Lastly, we support efforts that enhance the health of Mat-Su citizens. United Way of Mat-Su staffs two health-related coalitions, the Alaska Wellness Coalition and Thrive Mat-Su, in addition to investing in healthy options for individuals and families.
United Way of Mat-Su stands firm on the idea that great things happen when we come together around a common goal. By sharing our time, voice and resources, we can make a difference. Support that we receive as a result of Pick.Click.Give. goes directly into the Mat-Su community to help create a happy, healthy community for us all.
