How Pick.Click.Give. makes a difference

We are honored to again be a beneficiary of the Pick.Click.Give program for our third year in 2018.

Pick.Click.Give donations are used to provide our clients with connections to resources, emergency funds for vulnerable clients, and to expand our base and services we provide. In 2017 we are partnering with local nonprofit agencies & organizations as mentors in order to expand our resources so we can provide more and better services. We will continue our outreach, referral, and education efforts; begin offering personal care & payee services; and implement several small pilot programs that will provide specific services to low-income families and individuals in Anchorage and the Mat-Su Valley.

In 2016 and 2017, we provided emergency assistance for distressed individuals & families in Anchorage and the Mat-Su in the form of emergency utility payments, rental assistance, and food assistance to keep the heat on, a roof over their heads, and food on the table in the wintertime. We have begun providing personal care and payee type services for elderly and disabled individuals who are unable to manage their own finances, need help getting to doctor appointments and grocery shopping, assisting them with bill paying and financial management, and assisting them with other personal care needs. We continue to provide advice, consulting and referrals to individuals who need assistance but don't know where to start.

With your help, we can continue reaching out to those in need, those who might slip through the cracks because they don't have family to help and don't know there are resources available, the ones who might end up out on the street in the dead of winter because they can't pay the rent or keep the heat on, the elderly or disabled who must choose between eating or buying their meds, the distressed traveler in an emergency situation, single moms & dads struggling to make ends meet, someone who can't afford to fly out to see a loved one for the last time or attend the funeral. There are so many deserving people with urgent and compelling needs that go unmet everyday in our communities. We work with these people on a personal level to help them find solutions, and your generous donations make it possible. Please consider Wellness Works for your donation dollars this year. No donation is too small, and we make every penny count. We appreciate your generous support.
