Haines Little League

Haines Little League has resumed full-time operations starting in 2021, and this is our 4th season since the pandemic shut down community activities. Haines LL provided opportunity for approximatley 115 kids in 2023, which included tee ball teams (age 4-8), major league teams (age 9-12) and senior league teams (13-16). We rely on volunteer participation from numerous adults to help with coaching, umpiring, field preparation and maintenance, concessions operations, planning, soliciting donations from local businesses, in addition to the dedicated Board of Directors who spend countless hours to meet, plan, and operate Haines Little League year round. We strive to build on previous years’ successes and continue to build participation and community involvement on an annual basis.

Pick Click Give donations are essential to maintain Haines Little League operations while keeping player registration fees affordable for all kids to participate. In the current nationwide environment of inflation and rising costs of most everything, we have kept the player registration fee the same the past few years. The current cost of $50 per player or $125 for a family covers roughly 40% of actual player costs including uniforms and baseball equipment, most of which is geared for player safety. Pick Click Give donations help Haines Little League make up this revenue gap, which is essential because our priority is including every kid in the Haines area regardless of economic situation. This also includes making available player scholarships for teams that cannot afford the registration fee.
