About Us
For 36 years, our Christian-focused mission has met people in their time of greatest need. Helping Alaska started out in 1985 as Love In the Name of Christ. On January 1, 2022 we rebranded to Helping Alaska. All donations and services stay in Alaska. We are now 100% Alaskan!
We partner with our community and local Christian churches to provide resources, support, and assistance to families when they need it most. We accomplish our mission through referrals to local partner agencies, organizations and churches. We also have the Community Helpline, Educational programs, Loving Families Emergency Shelter, Adopt-A-Family Christmas program, and Furniture Bank Ministry.
