Juneau Mountain Rescue

It is Juneau Mountain Rescue's (JMR) mission to perform humanitarian search, rescue, and recovery operations in all weather conditions and in any situation. JMR also promotes wilderness safety and accident prevention by providing education to the general public and provides team members with mountain and rescue skills, knowledge, and experience. Our team consists exclusively of volunteers; those volunteers have with a wide range of skill sets, abilities, and passions including, ground/wilderness search, high angle and technical rescue, avalanche rescue, aircraft rescue, and incident management skills. We our so proud of our members, who routinely excel in nature's most challenging situations. We hope to never meet you, but if we do, we strive to be the best part of your worst day.

Donations from pick.click.give go directly to support search and rescue operations. Funds help us replace team equipment used or damaged in the field and to provide high quality training for our volunteers, so we are prepared for all calls and all situations. JMR is the only search and rescue team in Juneau, and serves an area outside of traditional fire and rescue. With out the preparation and expertise of our team, Juneau would not have rescue services outside the road system. Thank you for your contribution.
