Juneau Pregnancy Resource Center

“Help for today, Hope for tomorrow.” That's our vision at JPRC. We fulfill it by empowering women and men with educational, emotional, and material resources that give them the confidence to make healthy, life-affirming choices. We offer free pregnancy tests; peer counseling; maternity and baby supplies; and education on pregnancy, childbirth, parenting, life skills, and more. We also have support available for those dealing with fertility concerns, pregnancy loss, and abortion recovery. In the future, we hope to add services such as free ultrasounds, STD testing, Abortion Pill Reversal, and fatherhood and relationship classes.

JPRC's cornerstone Earn While You Learn program enables us to establish meaningful connections with our clients while providing them the support and tools to overcome challenges, make healthy and informed parenting decisions, improve their relationships with each other and their children, and learn practical life skills that will equip them to face their futures with more confidence. In exchange for their participation, clients earn access to a wide array of items such as maternity and baby clothes, equipment, and supplies such as diapers, wipes, and formula.

JPRC also serves clients in communities throughout SE Alaska by emailing lessons, occasionally shipping supplies, and meeting with them face-to-face when they come to Juneau to deliver their babies. We have been in operation since 2019 and look forward to many years of service in the future.

Juneau Pregnancy Resource Center is almost exclusively donor-funded. We rely on a primarily volunteer work force and the generosity of individual givers to keep our doors open. Because of this, a large portion of our time is spent on increasing our resources in these two areas. Our interest is to be able to focus more on activities that maximize our ability to improve our direct client services. Examples of this may include: hiring additional employees to provide a more stable and consistent staffing schedule; making needed renovations and repairs to our building to increase comfort, safety, and confidentiality; enhancing our marketing to reach more people who need our services; or expanding our programs to address a broader scope of assistance for our clients.

Funds given through PIck.Click.Give. would be used for the above areas, as well as to cover many of the regular operating expenses such as mortgage, utilities, office supplies, education subscriptions, insurance, pregnancy tests, diapers, wipes, car seats, and more. All of our services are provided free of charge to our clients. Whether it's a woman facing an unplanned pregnancy, a couple wanting education and support in parenting, or a single mom who needs baby clothes and diapers, we are here to offer "Help for today, Hope for tomorrow."
