About Us
REACH is committed to creating communities free of barriers for people with disabilities. REACH provides services to individuals of all ages who experience intellectual and developmental disabilities which empowers them to live self-directed and integrated lives in their community. The REACH team partners with these individuals, their families, guardians, care coordinators, and the State of Alaska to build sustainable and personalized goals that encourage growth and independence. This goal building process is created using a Person-Centered approach. Our headquarters are in Juneau, but we also provide services in Haines, Skagway, Yakutat, Hoonah, and Wrangell. REACH opened its doors in 1977 as a family-run group that met in a church basement. Today, REACH supports 400 individuals and their families and employs nearly 300 Alaskans.
How Pick.Click.Give. makes a difference
When you support REACH through Pick.Click.Give. you help us provide specialized services to children, adults, and their families impacted by intellectual and developmental disabilities. Funds from Pick.Click.Give. gives us the opportunity to create an inclusive community for the individuals we support. Through donations from Pick.Click.Give., we can continue to provide and enhance our developmental resources, group home and assisted living program, and supported employment program for Alaskans experiencing disabilities and their families.
