Youth Advocates of Sitka Inc

About Us

Our mission is to support the mental health of Alaska's youth and their families. Our vision is to empower youth to grow into healthy, happy, productive members of our community. We accomplish this by providing mental and behavioral health services to meet the needs of our clients in the home, school, and community.

How Pick.Click.Give. makes a difference

The youth that we serve have all experienced trauma in their life. Abuse, neglect, and other trauma during vulnerable developmental periods negatively affects their emotional and physical well-being and, to cope with their trauma, many youth engage in unhealthy or risky behaviors. Exacerbating their emotional and behavioral difficulties, many of these youth have not had the opportunities or support to develop the skills they need to lead successful lives in their home, school, and community. Youth Advocates of Sitka's mental and behavioral health services provide support for youth while they identify their personal strengths, interests, and challenges, and then develop the skills necessary to live healthy, happy, and productive lives.

Our services are individualized to meet the specific needs of each client and provide them with the support they need to reach clinical treatment goals which they help to determine. These services include residential treatment, therapeutic foster care, counseling, clinical assessments, life skills development, in-school support, futures planning, case management, and referral services.

By working together, through Pick.Click.Give, we can make a positive difference in the lives of Alaskan youth. From Youth Advocates of Sitka's team, thank you for your support.
