About Us
The Alaska Law Enforcement Museum is operated by the Fraternal Order of Alaska State Troopers (FOAST). It is home to the unique history of the law enforcement men and women who pioneered the rugged frontier of Alaska. In addition, FOAST supports youth activities statewide, the CSI Summer Camp for high school students, as well as the Safety Bear Reflector Program, and Safety Bear IDs for children at the Annual Palmer State Fair. FOAST provides the funds for K-9 Units acquired by the Alaska State Troopers, including the expensive training costs associated with each of the dogs. Recently, FOAST installed a Shooting Simulator at the museum to increase public awareness of the role law enforcement plays in volatile situations. FOAST is currently in the process of completing a Law Enforcement themed Escape Room. It will be housed inside the museum for the public to enjoy being law enforcement members in the moment while attempting to solve the problem.
How Pick.Click.Give. makes a difference
Donations through Pick.Click.Give allow the Fraternal Order of Alaska State Troopers (FOAST) to operate the Alaska Law Enforcement Museum, and to support youth-focused activities around the state, with the goal of decreasing juvenile crime, school dropouts, and drug use. Their vision is to support activities that result in improved academic performance, positive social and emotional development, and general well-being, especially in the rural areas of Alaska. FOAST reaches youth throughout the state who are active on team sports, in arts and science programs, and in good citizenship endeavors.
Your donations over the years have helped FOAST continue to provide Safety Bear Reflectors to children, in an effort to increase pedestrian safety during Alaska’s dark winters. FOAST hosts field trips to its Alaska Law Enforcement Museum, where students discover the world of law enforcement and criminal investigations. FOAST is a charity corporation serving the people of Alaska.
