About Us
The Alaska Boxing Academy was founded by former Olympian boxer David Carey in 2009 after his return from the Beijing Olympics in 2008. Identifying a need for a program for at-risk youth and children in Anchorage, he created a program based on the three pillars of physical fitness, academics and boxing instruction.
The fitness, tutoring and boxing program will provide a supportive environment to develop skills that the youth of Anchorage can carry throughout their lives:
