The Alaska Center for the Performing Arts is THE best place to experience the performing arts in Alaska. Serving over a quarter million patrons every year, we’ve got the best seat in town and we saved one just for you!
Located in the heart of downtown Anchorage directly adjacent to Town Square Park, the Egan Convention Center, and the newest Anchorage hot spot Williwaw -- locals and visitors come to the Center to experience hilarious comedies, soul-stirring dramas, attend private functions, and enjoy spectacular Broadway productions.
Alaska Center for the Performing Arts, Inc. (ACPA) is the not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization founded in 1987 to operate, promote and maintain the Alaska Center for the Performing Arts, the four-theatre complex owned by the Municipality of Anchorage. ACPA has a volunteer member Board of Directors that includes community members and representatives from the Alaska Center’s resident companies. Twenty full-time and 10 part-time staff members, joined by volunteer ushers, ensure that ACPA achieves its primary goals to:
• Promote and enhance the artistic endeavors of all Center users and the development of arts activities and educational opportunities, and
• Provide a comfortable, inviting building for all audience members, and
• Manage the facility in the most cost-effective manner possible.
