About Us
AGSR located in Fairbanks Alaska, its mission is dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating and rehoming abused, neglected, abandoned, and unwanted German Shepherds. AGSR places dogs in loving, responsible, committed permanent homes, following a comprehensive adoption process. We take considerable care in finding good matches and educating prospective adopters about the responsibilities and costs of bringing a dog into their homes and lives. Dogs in our care will be, chipped, spayed or neutered.
How Pick.Click.Give. makes a difference
Pick Click and Give can help us with our most urgent need, which is funding for a building to have a training area as well as a kennel area. This will allow us to bring in more dogs. In 2016 52 dogs were turned away due to no room at the rescue. A training area will also help the dogs we receive to have the proper training through obedience classes. AGSR remains interested in and committed to the welfare of our dogs beyond the adoption process and having a training building will allow us to stay connected with the dogs and their new owners making sure they are successful by addressing any behavioral issue that may come up. Receiving donations through Alaskans PFD will enable us to help more folks in our community with rehoming, rehabilitating and rescuing dogs in need, while changing people's lives one dog at a time.
