About Us
AARF rescues dogs primarily throughout the state of Alaska, focusing mainly on the rural and bush areas of the state. We do not maintain a facility of our own. All our animals are housed either within our broad network of foster homes or boarding kennels when needed. We partner with local bush residents or other rescues, such as Bethel Friends Of Canines, to get the animals shipped in for a better life. AARF with our network of volunteers and partners have helped over 100 Alaskan communities by re-homing over 7000 dogs and puppies since 2012.
How Pick.Click.Give. makes a difference
Donations will help AARF continue and expand our efforts to save dogs both in Anchorage and Matsu area and remote Alaskan Villages. Some of our largest expenses are freight and veterinary bills. Some of the dogs we receive come to us with broken legs, frost bite, and gun shot injuries. Funds received through Pick.Click.Give will help fund our efforts to save homeless and stray dogs. You're donations are greatly appreciated by both the volunteers and dogs.
