About Us
As an all-volunteer, foster-home-based feline rescue, Alaska Cat Adoption Team is dedicated to rehoming Alaska's displaced cats and kittens, and reducing the number of unwanted litters. Through ACAT's Alter Assist Fund, we devote funds to help people who otherwise could not afford alters. Our Rallye Fund assists cats in medical crisis. Our food bank helps provide necessary food and litter for people experiencing economic hardship.
ACAT is also active in education about proper care of cats, including altering, vaccinating, the evils of declawing, and safety issues.
Volunteers, Donors and Adopters are the supportive trio of ACAT.
How Pick.Click.Give. makes a difference
Pick. Click.Give affords our organization the opportunity to rescue, care for, alter and re-home cats/kittens throughout Southcentral Alaska and beyond. Adoption fees alone cannot cover the costs of feline care. Pick. Click. Give. money means our cats receive excellent medical care, and we can also assist other cats that need care. All of our funding comes from adoption fees, occasional grants and generous donations, including Pick, Click, Give. We receive no tax-generated funds. All of the money we raise is used to help cats, almost all of it directly in the form of food, litter, medical supplies and veterinary care.
