Alaska Farmland Trust

About Us

Alaska Farmland Trust Corporation (AFTC) protects Alaska’s working farmlands and heritage, and works to keep Alaska's agriculture industry vital by getting the next generation of farmers on the land. AFTC is also committed to educating residents on the importance of local agriculture and farmland preservation, and expanding local agricultural infrastructure.

How Pick.Click.Give. makes a difference

The Alaska Farmland Trust, Corporation (AFTC) envisions a future with thriving local food markets that will give Alaskans access to fresh, healthy food, and keep our farmers farming. Our success is directly related to the generous contributions from donors like you. When you donate through Pick.Click.Give, you show your support for Alaskan farms, farmers, and food. You help us SAVE.THE.SOIL.

To date, Alaska Farmland Trust has protected four farm properties in the Mat-Su Borough totaling 220 acres of valuable farmland; helped dozens of farmers develop business or farm transition plans and; worked to increase the state’s agricultural infrastructure. AFTC is proud of its accomplishments so far, but knows there is a lot still to do.

In 2017 AFTC hopes to DOUBLE our protected acres - and your Pick.Click.Give contributions will help. Join the other Alaskans who have decided to make a difference in Alaska's food and farm future. Thank you!
