About Us
Bunnell was created in 1991 by and for artists to sustain artists, cultivate audiences and engage a vibrant Alaskan community. Our mission is to spark artistic inquiry, innovation, and equity to strengthen the physical, social, and economic fabric of Alaska. Bunnell presents visual art exhibitions, Artist residencies, Artist in Schools programs, workshops, performances, concerts, film screenings, readings, artist talks and more. Bunnell has been a powerful force in shaping Alaska's cultural landscape for over twenty years.

Alaskans who contribute to Bunnell Street Arts Center using Pick.Click.Give underwrite the mission, programs, and long-term stability of this innovative arts organization. Bunnell Street Arts Center has been a powerful community partner in Alaska for over 20 years. Recent successes include launching a national Artist-in-Residence program; expanding opportunities for Alaskan artists; and leading a coalition of neighborhood partners (including the City of Homer, Chamber of Commerce, Federal and State agencies, local residents, businesses, and artists) in a creative placemaking effort that addresses pedestrian safety, aesthetics and community engagement through dynamic Artist residencies and public art events.
Pick.Click.Give donors receive membership to Bunnell and have been instrumental in setting aside an Operating Reserve and seeding an Endowment Fund in addition to supporting Bunnell's dynamic programs. Bunnell's balanced financial health allows our board, staff and volunteers to offer exceptional programs (many of them free), take artistic risks, and cultivate broad participation in the Alaskan arts community.
