About Us
The Museum of the Aleutians is located on the Unangam Tanangin (land of the Unangax̂) and curates an actively growing collection featuring Unangax̂ heritage spanning 9000 years, as well as historic period Russian-American, World War II, Cold War, and fishing industry objects and historic and modern objects, art, photography, and media. The museum serves multicultural, multigenerational, and international audiences with high-quality, historically accurate, educationally effective interpretive exhibits and collections. These collections are made available through exhibits, public outreach, educational programs, and research opportunities.
