About Us
The mission of the Glory Hole is to provide food, shelter, and compassion to help achieve well being for those most in need.
How Pick.Click.Give. makes a difference
The Glory Hole is an emergency shelter, soup kitchen, and care center. We are open 24 hours each day, 365 days per year. Each year we provide over 50,000 meals and 10,000 safe shelter nights to those most in need. Our patrons and guests include senior citizens, young people, people struggling with mental illness and addictions, people who have fallen onto hard economic times, working poor, and people with severe disabilities. We provide essential services.
In addition to meals and safe shelter, we provide job and housing search assistance, transportation assistance, limited case management, a labor and garden programs, social service referrals, laundry, showers, street outreach, and a wellness program.
We pride ourselves on not duplicating services but working in partnership with other Juneau service provider agencies, including AWARE, St. Vincents, JAMHI, Zach Gordon Youth Center, Salvation Army, AHDC, AHFC, Tlingit and Haida Regional Housing Authority, Front Street Community Health Center, Bartlett Regional Hospital and other Juneau Coalition on Housing and Homelessness entities.
The Glory Hole is a proud partner in the Juneau Housing First Collaborative project.
