About Us
Thrivalaska has evolved throughout the years into an early childhood services hub, operating 4 major programs - Head Start Birth to Five, a school age program at Pearl Creek, a school age Clubhouse and a 0-5 employee child care. Our employee child care also partners with other non-profit agencies to offer child care to their employees as well. We are committed to delivering high quality, accessible, affordable early care and education. Thrivalaska partners with many community agencies to provide the highest level of services to children and families, and to foster, advocate and develop a community that shares responsibility for the healthy development of children and families. Healthy communities need working families, and working families need child care.
How Pick.Click.Give. makes a difference
Thrivalaska serves over 900 children, families and early educators in Fairbanks and the Northern region of Alaska each year. The majority of families benefiting from our services are at an annual family income level of $30,000 or less. Thrivalaska provides Head Start Birth to Five services, a before and after school age program at Pearl Creek Elementary, a before and after school age Clubhouse and 0-5 employee child care.. Child care is a necessity - it keeps families working and attending school, and is a fundamental part of the economic fabric of our community. Having Thrivalaska services widely available to the community assists families in finding and affording safe early care and education. The quality of services we envision is intimately linked to adequate funding. We believe Pick.Click.Give will help Thrivalaska preserve a future in Alaska. It will enable us to continue ensuring families, staff, community partners, and providers will receive the highest quality of service.
