Anchorage, Alaska – With one week remaining before the March 31 filing deadline and tens of thousands of Alaskans yet to file for this year’s Permanent Fund Dividend (PFD), the Pick.Click.Give. charitable contributions program is on track to raise more funds for Alaska nonprofit causes than ever before.

The Pick.Click.Give. charitable giving program allows Alaskans to donate $25 or more from their PFD to eligible nonprofit organizations.

“Alaskans in record numbers are supporting the causes they care about and warming their hearts through Pick.Click.Give.,” said Interim Program Manager Kathy Day. “The campaign has redoubled its outreach in the month of March. We’ve created a fun Pick.Click.Give. temporary tattoo ‘selfie’ social media campaign, and of course ten lucky filers will win the ‘Double Your Dividend’ sweepstakes this year.”

Pick.Click.Give. and its 540 participating organizations have seen over 6 percent of filers for the 2015 Permanent Fund Dividend (PFD) make Pick.Click.Give. donations. As of this morning, 28,974 individuals had made 46,638 pledges totaling $2.875 million, eclipsing last year’s final tally on all measures. If this trend continues, Pick.Click.Give. donors are on track to reach the $3 million charitable contributions mark for the first time in the program’s seven year history.

The deadline to apply for the PFD is 11:59 p.m. on Tuesday, March 31. Eligible Alaskans are encouraged to visit www.pfd.alaska.gov to file for the dividend today. The option to Pick.Click.Give. appears at the end of the online filing process. People who have already filed can go back and add Pick.Click.Give. donations. Note: The PFD office will be closed Monday, March 30, in observance of Seward’s Day; online filing will still be available.
